Yes, dinosaurs and robots co-exist - they co-exist everywhere - you can find them anywhere you go in our house. Dinosaurs were roaming around at our home since quite some time (they were there even at our Parkside apartments home), but robots are new. They both are craze these days. We see new robots everyday - thanks to Lego blocks and creativity of its creator, Mr Agam. We saw the best one yesterday - it was Agam's version of Pixar's WALL-E, so I named it AGAM-E. :) I gave Agam the printout of WALL-E's wallpaper, and he went back and created a very nice robot out of it that looked like WALL-E. Challenging part was its eyes, and both Mom and Dad were pleasantly surprised with how Agam did that.
I remember I picked up Dinosaurs table mat along with ABCD and 123 mats from Walmart when Agam must be 1 or 2 years. He learned ABC and 123 pretty quickly from those table mats (credit to his Mom again), but never able to learn about Dinosaurs till he was around 4 years. But he is good now as he was able to identify all the types of dinos at Discovery Place in our (first) visit there this month. I was happy :)
Reading is what is being stressed these days. He is able to read and pronounce most of the words now, but is slow in it. It will take months of practice to be fluent. And Agam knows that once he is able to read properly, then we will get lots of Robotics books for Agam to learn and make REAL ROBOTS.

KungFu Panda vs TaeKwonDo Bear
Agam is going to Martial Arts Univ since Feb'07? He learned a lot in first 3-4 months - the punches, kicks, blocks etc? But since then, the school was not able to take him to the next level.
We were impressed with the couple of trial classes at Sangrock (owned by desi from Lucknow), and so Agam has joined it now. So far, Master Jonathan and others have been very impressive.
Something worth remembering from last class is Agam's reaction to Master Jonathan during the bear chase exercise. When down/caught, he roared back at the coach with such ferocity. I wish he maintains that spirit right thru his life - when down "never" give up. I am sure he will bounce back everytime with same intensity.
Dad and son had a movie trip for inspiration - and we got loads of it from KungFu Panda. This was not a kind of movie for Agam, and that too in theater with all that sounds and graphics. But the brave boy sat thru the whole movie - and he should have as he is 5 now. We will not forget our trip to IMAX theater at Discovery Place when he was 2 - just the first scene on the screen was enough to kick us out... but I still do not expect him to sit thru an IMAX movie yet... we'll try it in next few months :)

Hello World! My first Blog!
Hello World!
Can you imagine that this is my first ever blog - of a techie since last 12-13 years. I should have started it a long time back, but then its never too late.
The main motivation is to use it as a diary to track my life and main events of it. I missed on recording a lot of activities related to Agam, my son who turned 5 this month, but I don't want to miss on recording important events related to Sharan - my daughter who turned 7 months old on 3rd of this month.
Before I divulge into my kids' stuff, let me first wish a warm Happy Birthday to my youngest brother Chhotu bhaji - he turned 29 today. I wish the best for him in the year and life ahead. We had nice talk yesterday night. I hope he gets married this year :)
On Sharan - my Sher - she got her teeth this week. We were waiting to see a glimpse of it since last 4 months - yes she was giving signs that she will have teeth soon when she was just 3 months old. She was in good form this week as she got not one or two, but 4 teeth in a week. We saw the bottom-left tooth first, then two upper teeth, and yesterday I saw her bottom-right tooth peeping out. Now her next target is CRAWL - or I should say PROWL because of the way she make lion sounds grrrrrrrr... grrr...rrrr :). But that is the lowest sound that she makes - her cries are the loudest in the whole wide world!
Agam bhaji is having fun these days. I was surprised to see the dictation that he is doing these days - credit to his Mom and him! Seems Kumon is working well.
At job, PE4 is pretty much over. I prepared my resume today for next assignment. Based on what I hear from Nancy Stein today at dinner, I may or may not float the resume after that. Greencard's I-140 approval is easily 6 to 8 months away before I could start looking for a better/stable job. And in the meantime, I have to survive this economic downturn working for eBusiness Intl (ebintl.com) thru whom I have applied for GC this time.
